What we do know is Justus Wilhelm was born around 1735 somewhere in Germany. In about 1758, he married Clarissa, last name unknown, and they had five children. Justus and Clarissa apparently immigrated to the United States sometime between 1760 and 1762 based on the birth dates of their children. Justus apparently changed his name to Justice Williams when he arrived in the U.S., and also changed the name of his eldest child.
